JHS Teacher Olen McCain is CORAS Teacher of the Year

Jackson High School teacher Olen McCain was recognized on February 21, 2024 as a CORAS "Outstanding High School Teacher" at a ceremony held in Zanesville, Ohio.

JHS Hall of Honor 2024

Jackson City Schools is beginning the process of selecting the Hall of Honor. Class of 2024 inductee nominations will be accepted thru Friday, March 1, 2024.
Nominees should be those who have contributed to JCS thru service or other means and those who have brought honor to the schools through their achievements.
Nominations should provide a detailed description as to why the individual should be selected and returned to the Jackson City Schools, Attention: Hall of Honor, 450 Vaughn Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640. A nomination committee will screen the nominations submitted and select candidates to be presented to the selection committee who will choose up to three persons to be honored at a later date and time.

Public participation policy

At the Jackson City Board of Education meeting on October 11, 2022, the Board voted to amend policy 0169.10 to reflect that persons wishing to participate in the public participation portion of board meetings must register with the superintendent's office no later than three (3) business days before the scheduled meeting. Any requests to participate after the three (3) business days is at the discretion of the Superintendent.
